iPhone X vs iPhone 12 Comparison

iPhone X vs iPhone 12

Hestitating between an iPhone 12 and an iPhone X to replace your current smartphone? Or upgrading from the X to the 12? It's hard to choose between these two high-performance models, as there are many similarities.

In terms of photography, for example, they both offer quite impressive qualities. But when it comes to battery life, charging and chip power, the gap is pretty apparent.

iPhone 12, the more powerful smartphone

The iPhone 12 is one of Apple's latest models and is a top-of-the-line smartphone. It has a great design and a 6.1-inch OLED screen that allows you to view your content comfortably.

But what really sets it apart from its competitor is its A14 Bionic chip. It's far more powerful than the A11 found in the iPhone X.

Another major difference is that the iPhone 12 is compatible with MagSafe induction charging, which is not the case with the iPhone X.

The iPhone 12 also offers greater battery life (up to 7 hours greater, in fact), and is the only one of the two that is 5G compatible.

iPhone X, the better deal

The iPhone X has a 5.8-inch OLED screen and a sleek, sober design similar to the iPhone 12. Moreover, it keeps the same 12MP dual-camera formula, the main difference being that you get a telephoto lens with the iPhone X instead of an ultrawide like with the iPhone 12.

Another key difference is the A11 chip (compared to A14 for the iPhone 12) and 3GB of RAM (compared to 4GB in the iPhone 12) which stop it from being as smooth-performing. This obviously translates into a price benefit though. The iPhone X is cheaper than the iPhone 12, and despite a few technical shortcomings, it offers a good deal for those who don't want to spend too much money on a new smartphone.

But beware: the iPhone X is older and will stop receiving iOS updates a few years before the iPhone 12.

If you're looking to take advantage of 5G speeds, the iPhone 12 is the way to go. The same is true if you are looking for a very powerful smartphone. For users who are a little less demanding and interested in a more affordable price, the iPhone X is ideal. It offers a good compromise between top-tier technology and affordable pricing.
