I bought a MacBook Pro M1 16gb RAM. I was initially looking for a MacBook Air but after seeing the deals that BackMarket offered, I was pleased to find I could afford a Pro model. I found that the price was extremely good value for money. I’m not sure why, but at the time of making my order, the Excellect condition model at 512GB was cheaper than the Fair condition model at 256GB. I thought “RESULT”. I purchased the excellent condition model at 512GB storage, and was already pleased by the price and the promise of the condition. The delivery was speedy and on par with the timeframe they provided. Upon receiving the model, I was thrilled to see the condition. There are extremely minor signs of usage, but they are absolutely minute and to be expected with any refurbished item. In the package, there was a handwritten note from the MacBook company that had sent my laptop. It provided details of the product etc, and upon flipping the note over, it read “We’ve given you a 1TB model, enjoy!!”. An honest review. Read this if you are unsure. I ordered the MacBook Pro M1 2020 (Very good/Excellent) and overall I'd say im happy with it. It's my first MacBook so there has been a slight learning curve but nothing too difficult. It's great for what I need it for; Photoshop, Premiere Pro and Logic all work fine on the M1 chip. I do feel like the grade I got doesn't fully match the product I received. The apple logo on the back is pretty scuffed as well as there being a few scratches. The scratches are small but they are visible from far away (further than 20cm as listed). Amongst those minor visible defects, unfortunately, the space bar isn't hooked on properly so when I'm typing I have to make sure to slow down a bit in order to hit it properly. From what I can tell, it shouldn't be a difficult fix but I feel like the keys should have been put on properly if I'm paying what I paid at the advertised "excellent quality". Taking into consideration the downsides to this, I feel like it's more then worth it to take a slight hit on the quality as if I were to buy this for brand new I would be paying close to £400 extra. Buying refurbished sometimes feels like a bit of a gamble, but I'm pleased with my order! Got a 2020 MacBook Pro in "good" condition and it's just as advertised - a tiny amount of wear and tear to the exterior but so far it seems to be in perfect working order with 88% battery health, all for a fraction of what it'd cost new. Only marking down by one point due to the box - while the laptop came securely packaged, it was all in cardboard with no bubblewrap or anything to protect it from water damage during transit. I admire the commitment to recyclable packaging but I feel lucky the parcel wasn't left out in the rain at any point!

It came properly packaged and safe, was quite neater than I envisaged and seems to be working well so far. My only concern might the quality of the camera which appears grainy. However, I have been able to do personalized research on this and suspect is a general macbook problem as loads of videos recommended obtaining a webcam for an ideal camera quality.

I ordered the MacBook Pro M1 2020 (Fair Condition) from the seller MacTeam and I am very satisfied with my purchase! For a fair condition device the condition is very good! It genuinely looks like this Mac was barely used. The battery has 84% capacity and 314 charge cycles. The only defect I had about the Mac is that there is a small dent in the left corner but otherwise there is nothing to complain about! The package arrived really quickly - 2 days after my purchase and I didn’t pay for express delivery which was really a cool thing, In total I paid £488.34 because of a free £15 code you get when you sign up on the app. Concluding if you want a cheap Mac I really do recommend BackMarket - I will definitely order again!
