I opted for the "excellent" rated iPhone 13 pro thinking I'd be getting something close to a like new recycled iPhone. I was a little disappointed that the phone had a few bits of dirt and grime around the lens and speaker. Nothing I could not clean off myself. And in fairness other than this the iPhone is is in excellent condition. When I managed to update to my previous settings (which was an ordeal but largely due to Apple and iOS 17.1 and no fault of backmarket nor with the iPhone) I learnt the battery health is only 87% which again was a little disappointing although within the boundaries backmarket sets. So overall the iPhone is perfectly as described and is a substantial upgrade on my old one at a fraction of the new price. I have no real complaints and will no doubt by refurbished again in the future. The communication from backmarket has been perfect too. If you are on the fence as to whether to buy refurbished or not I'd say go for it based on my experience.

I would not recommend this service. The phone I received has a battery health of only 74%, which is well below the 80% minimum that Back Market promises for refurbished devices. While I appreciate that the available options are a replacement or a refund, I urgently need a phone right now, so neither solution is particularly convenient. I chose Back Market because I expected a device that met the advertised standards and was willing to pay more than I would at many high-street second-hand retailers for that reassurance. Unfortunately, the phone I received did not meet those expectations, and the experience has felt like a waste of money. I would strongly encourage Back Market to ensure that the products they sell match the promises made to customers.

Great phone but I ordered one that should have come in excellent condition, unfortunately I was sent one with scratches on the screen. Was offered £40 refund or I could return it but as it took so long to set it up and I couldn’t be without a phone I had to accept.
