When is Cyber Monday?
Cyber Monday 2022 will fall on the 28th of November, following the end of Cyber Monday weekend (or commonly known as Thanksgiving weekend in the US - where it all started). Historically, Cyber Monday used to be exclusive to just the sale of electronics, however, it can seem no different to Cyber Monday as the general purpose is for retailers to get rid of old stock with cheap offers.
What is Cyber Monday?
Cyber Monday was actually started by retailers in the US to increase online sales. It first started on November 28 in 2005, and has continued since. Today it has been leveraged by all online retailers globally, with peak sales expected to be on the day itself. Year on year trends seem to show retailers extending their sales period to the end of November, until the focus switches to Christmas from December onwards.
