Compared to other Garmin devices, we'd say the Forerunner devices are smartwatches, more similar to the experience an Apple Watch or Galaxy Watch will give you.

Are Garmin Watch Black Friday deals worth waiting for?

It's usually not the case that Black Friday deals are as good as they are for Garmin watches. However, Garmin Black Friday sales are good. So in this case, it depends on your priorities.
