This is my second time using Back Market. Despite having issues with PayPal the first time, which wasn't their fault, they were very helpful, friendly and polite. I have again been really impressed with Bak Market's service. I was able to buy a really well look after MacBook Pro, which works really well. I bought it at around 4pm and it turned up the next morning. That's exceptional delivery. It was well wrapped and instructions inside. I've been really impressed and will definitely be using them again for my future gadget needs.

BATTERY ISSUES My order for a refurbished Google Pixel 6a phone came through promptly. As a 75-year old who's not that easy with tech I did find it challenging to move my apps and all other info from my old phone. I had a few stressful problems on the way and it did take me most of 3 days but I got there in the end. However, then I started receiving warning messages about the battery. Going into the detail I found I needed to replace it asap. Customer support at Back Market was a real disappointment. Four different member of the team simply restated that all I could do was to strip the phone and send it back to them and they would return it with another battery. They wouldn't listen to my difficulties that a) I couldn't bear to strip the phone as it had taken me a very hard 3 days to set up and b) I actually didn't know HOW to strip the phone. To quote from their website: "Detailed testing and meticulous refurbishment are crucial to the reliability of refurbished items … all smartphone batteries are guaranteed to have at least 80% of their original capacity." Plainly the battery in my phone didn't. I pointed out that this situation was not my failure, but Back Market's. And I feel they should put it right without disadvantaging me, the customer. Or maybe trying to be eco conscious and getting a refurbished phone is really only for the tech savvy? I've given up now. It will cost me £50 for a new battery.

Firstly I think the trend for "larger phones" is not a good one. Yes bigger batteries, but this size and form factor is great, spot on. These newer larger models feel like a brick in the pocket or on the way to basically being a small tablet in your pocket (it can be ridiculous). Otherwise, condition was as described. My only compliant would be that the battery performance was somewhat less than expected. Its definitely not the worst, however, my friend ordered the same phone some time back and their battery performance is better (I did go for the lower price, lower condition option so fair enough). This is no issue though as you can purchase and fit a new battery yourself very easily on this model (lots of battery sellers and how to guides on the net and Youtube). Finally, the phones 6gb RAM makes everything super speedy with no lag, for a 2019 phone that is very impressive! The side finger print sensor / unlock button is a joy to use! Also with a USB-C to C cable, you can easily transfer all your data from the previous phone to the new. Overall; a pretty solid purchase! Thanks.
