I've had the phone for two weeks and so far I'm completely satisfied. When it arrived, it came in perfect condition - I would have thought it was new - and the set up process was completely normal for an Android phone. The phone works as expected, no nasty surprises so far, though it is still early days. I was very happy with the ordering process, and really pleased that I got this model of phone, which is increasingly difficult to find (plus it's really sad Sony isn't continuing the 5 series at all), and pleased that I got it for a decent price. I can see myself ordering my next phone through Back Market, provided that this one holds up.

Absolutely so happy with my purchase of the Sony Xperia 5 IV from BackMarket. Initially I thought it was too good to be true, and read lots of independent reviews about the company, and the vast majority were in praise of the phones and the service. My phone was described as Condition: Good, it looked brand new. No scratches, not even micro-scratches, the screen came with a temporary protector, much as you find when you buy a phone new. The price was unbeatable, at a 69% discount from new, I could not find anyone else to beat that (or anywhere near- the cheapest were a good £80-£100 more, and they had no warranty, no inspection, just sold as seen). For such a capable phone, that has been out less than a year, this is a bargain. The reviews for the Xperia 5 IV compact, are all in praise of how it is identical to the excellent flagship phone Xperia 1 V, with amazing camera capabilities and screen resolution (two key things I was looking for), and the only downside in the reviews is the eyewatering price when bought new- buying from BackMarket removed that issue. The phone arrived exactly as described, in a simple brown cardboard box, one C-Type charging lead, and well packaged. Communication about delivery was good, and it arrived the next day by courier.

Device came in excellent condition, and works really well. It is hard to buy this model of phone and I love it, it's very compact, great screen and camara, still has headphone jack and SD card, and feels great quality. A minor issue but not enough to bother returning the device is that it seems to be a Japan model, meaning there are some quirks It Starts up in Japanese but it is easy to change the language, it has some pre installed Japanese apps that can't be deleted, you can't mute camara sounds (this is a law in Japan) and it seems to be 4G only on a UK sim.
