Arrived in excellent condition as promised, looks like a Japanese import model that has hardly been used (virtually no marks or scratches to be seen but some Japanese apps installed). You warned me the device may not work with the Three network (which I'm on) but I took a gamble and it seems absolutely fine with my SIM card.
