I bought the Sony WF-1000XM5 specifically for the noise cancellation and all the hype surrounding them, but they just didn't deliver. Whenever the noise cancellation was on, there was a cracking sound in the right bud, which also had a small mark on it. This was not at all what I expected, especially considering they cost so much and were supposedly in "excellent condition." I was hesitant before buying, but after reading positive reviews, I decided to give them a shot. However, they lasted only a few hours before I reported them as faulty. Now they’ve been sent back, and I’m waiting on a refund. Maybe I just got unlucky it could be the case that the crackling was a small internal defect affecting the noise cancelling and overall quality, since I’ve heard these buds are supposed to be outstanding. But even during the short time I used them, I tested them at the gym and could still hear the music playing there. Even my much cheaper Realme Pro Air 5, which I had previously, did a better job of blocking out that sound. This is my first purchase from Back Market, and it will probably be my last.

It's a good choice, very original and works perfectly. I just need to familiarise myself with the settings.

They just don't fit in my ears (despite the 3 sizes of silicone ear tips supplied and tested) and they're much worse in terms of external noise reduction than my wired Sony headphones.
