I ordered this iMac M3 from Back Market because it was only £30 cheaper than buying it new on Amazon, but my experience has been extremely disappointing.
As an Apple enthusiast, this was my first time purchasing a refurbished computer. I trusted the site because it seemed reputable, and I was reassured that the machine was a relatively new 2023 model listed in “Excellent” condition.
I opened the box excited, expecting something that looked and worked like new. Unfortunately, the mouse included did not work at all. At first I thought the issue might be with the computer, so I tried another mouse — which worked perfectly. It was clear that the supplied mouse was faulty.
I immediately requested a replacement, but instead I was offered only £20 as a goodwill gesture, even though replacement mice on their own website start from around £60.
This is unacceptable. Selling a device advertised as “Excellent” with a completely non-working accessory, and then offering inadequate compensation, is very disappointing. I expected much higher standards from a company with such a strong reputation.
