The iMac itself was in Immaculate condition and definitely worth paying the little extra as looks brand new. That being said though the reason for not giving a five star rating was the mouse and keyboard not being genuine apple products and felt cheap. That is my only criticism

I am rating it four stars, overall I am pleased with my purchase, I'm knocking off a star due to not receiving a genuine Apple keyboard and mouse. I bought an excellent grade iMac 2023 for an amazing price. However cannot lie and want to express my very slight disappointment regarding the generic keyboard and mouse that came with it, just feel that it's a shame that these weren't included as part of the "excellent" grade. I will be purchasing from BackMarket in the future though.

The kit arrived boxed but without instructions and it took a while to work out that the usual “plug in and play” Mac installation doesn’t work. There also appears to be no warranty according to Apple. Those issues aside, the Mac is “as new”. Some clarity on warranty and load up installation would have been appreciated.

I ordered this iMac M3 from Back Market because it was only £30 cheaper than buying it new on Amazon, but my experience has been extremely disappointing. As an Apple enthusiast, this was my first time purchasing a refurbished computer. I trusted the site because it seemed reputable, and I was reassured that the machine was a relatively new 2023 model listed in “Excellent” condition. I opened the box excited, expecting something that looked and worked like new. Unfortunately, the mouse included did not work at all. At first I thought the issue might be with the computer, so I tried another mouse — which worked perfectly. It was clear that the supplied mouse was faulty. I immediately requested a replacement, but instead I was offered only £20 as a goodwill gesture, even though replacement mice on their own website start from around £60. This is unacceptable. Selling a device advertised as “Excellent” with a completely non-working accessory, and then offering inadequate compensation, is very disappointing. I expected much higher standards from a company with such a strong reputation.

Watch out! The Imac is great, but don't expect to get the original keyboard and mouse. The ones provided are a load of rubbish. They are not the originals, a third party brand. Plasticy and tacky and fall out of connection all of the time. They seriously let down the quality of the computer. I have been a mac user for years and a previous buyer from back market but not anymore. There customer service was great and advised a full refund if they sent everything back, but I did not want to send the computer back as it was already setup. I just wanted a better keyboard or mouse which they would not provide. Serious let down.
