The battery life is excellent and the device is very responsive. On the whole exactly as I remember them being back in the day. This iPod is in great condition and hold a charge. Having do a lot of research on the I got the 5 classic as they are the easiest to open and work on and upgrade when the hard drive or batter fails. I was half expecting this to be an unopened one with terrible battery life buy I think there must be a new battery in it or I got lucky as this unit is close to 20 years old now. Pleasantly surprise.
