    I bought a refurbed iPhone 8 after dropping my previous one in the toilet!!! I decided I didn’t need/want to pay for the most up to date version. I’m not very technical but so far so good. Phone arrived next day(with plenty of emails advising on delivery ) and in mint condition (as ordered). New charging cable and battery life seems good. At the moment 🤞 would definitely do this again 👍

    I was really excited to use BackMarket as an alternative to buying new but I'm honestly a little disappointed. I never expected to be sent a Japanese model of the iPhone XR. This did not even cross my mind as a possibility (in which case I would have bought from Apple). And since I'd left the inspection up to the experts I only realised this when my sister (who the phone was for as a birthday gift) was taking pictures and there was no way to turn off the awful camera shutter sound (according to Japanese law it is mandatory for phones to have a shutter sound). Whilst the price of this phone seems great initially - factor in the fact that Japanese versions are cheaper and you can never turn off the camera shutter sound, this no longer seems like a good deal. This was my first and last time buying refurbished - I would have to recommend buying new.
