Device came in excellent condition, and works really well. It is hard to buy this model of phone and I love it, it's very compact, great screen and camara, still has headphone jack and SD card, and feels great quality. A minor issue but not enough to bother returning the device is that it seems to be a Japan model, meaning there are some quirks It Starts up in Japanese but it is easy to change the language, it has some pre installed Japanese apps that can't be deleted, you can't mute camara sounds (this is a law in Japan) and it seems to be 4G only on a UK sim.

The phone arrived quickly, well packaged. it was left by the courier leaning against the front door in plain sight, I'm amazed it wasn't stolen! unpacked the phone, charged it, popped in a SIM card and switched it on, imagine my suprise when I was met with a Japanese splash screen, which cannot be removed, this shows that it's not a UK to phone, so the software is different. I can live with this as I turn really ever turn my phone off! The most annoying thing is that I've discovered that the fingerprint scanner doesn't work, it doesn't recognise a fingerprint, saying unable to read. I would ordinarily return this phone for repair or replacement/refund, but after reading multiple horror stories regarding issues with returns to your company and your lack to f resolution regards these matters, I have had to make a hard choice, that being, I won't be returning the phone I payed good money for because I don't trust I will get either a phone back or a refund. Due to the above I will NOT being doing any further business with your company, not will I recommend you to anyone, in fact I would actively dissuade anyone I know from dealing with yourselves. Can't fault you for product. Other than phone being incorrectly labelled on box (slight panic until I realised it was a higher status phone that was labelled) you'd never realise phone 2nd hand. Appearance pristine, operates fine. Thanks. Will definitely consider and recommend Black market as a place to consider for tech.

This is the 2nd mobile that I've bought through this site and, like last time, I am a very happy bunny. Delivered when it was supposed to be in, what I would call 'used like new' condition and as I don't even set up a handset until it is fully protected I really appreciate that. What else can I say. It's a much cheaper alternative to buying new! Highly recommend.

I purchased a phone in excellent quality, which it absolutely was. I was well informed of the progress of the order and it arrived within the estimated time. My only concern was the amount of packaging. The phone was placed in a thin bubble wrap bag - so only a single layer of bubble wrap covering it. Given some couriers aren't terribly careful, I thought there should be a bit more protection.

Absolutely so happy with my purchase of the Sony Xperia 5 IV from BackMarket. Initially I thought it was too good to be true, and read lots of independent reviews about the company, and the vast majority were in praise of the phones and the service. My phone was described as Condition: Good, it looked brand new. No scratches, not even micro-scratches, the screen came with a temporary protector, much as you find when you buy a phone new. The price was unbeatable, at a 69% discount from new, I could not find anyone else to beat that (or anywhere near- the cheapest were a good £80-£100 more, and they had no warranty, no inspection, just sold as seen). For such a capable phone, that has been out less than a year, this is a bargain. The reviews for the Xperia 5 IV compact, are all in praise of how it is identical to the excellent flagship phone Xperia 1 V, with amazing camera capabilities and screen resolution (two key things I was looking for), and the only downside in the reviews is the eyewatering price when bought new- buying from BackMarket removed that issue.
