The iPhone 13 mini and the iPhone X were released 4 years apart, so you’re going to expect some difference in terms of tech and performance. The  iPhone 13 mini cost around a third less than the iPhone X when it was released, although today you can get a great deal on either phone by buying a refurbished model. 4 years really do make a difference and the iPhone 13 mini shows it. It has a much faster A15 bionic processor, the iPhone X only has A11, it’s enabled for Wi-Fi 6 and it has an extra 1 GB RAM, 4 GB to the iPhone X’s 3 GB. It offers double the storage too with 512 Gb. You’ll also get around 10 more hours of battery life with average use (32 hours in total). Camera-wise, there’s less difference as both have a dual 12 MP rear camera, the iPhone X has 2 X optical zoom, while the iPhone 13 mini has an ultra-wide camera lens. In practical terms that means the iPhone X will blur the background when zooming, while the iPhone 13 mini will keep everything in sharp focus. The front camera on the iPhone 13 mini offers 12 MP compared to 7 MP on the iPhone X, and you can record 4K video too.

The answer is it depends on what you want. A bigger screen? The iPhone X. Newer Tech? The iPhone 13 mini? A good camera? Both phones will do the job.
