    The device was clearly not in 'excellent' condition before it was sold. Generic photos were used in the description, but the actual item was obviously in substandard condition with clear damage visible as soon as I removed it from the packaging. Damage that was present before shipping. Luckily Backmarket were very efficient in assisting with the return and refund. But a disappointing waste of time for everyone.

    The laptop appears to be functional although I am unsure about the battery life. So far it has only lasted 10 minutes without being plugged in but this was during downloads and set up. Hopefully this will be better once it is in use for day to day things. However, when the laptop arrived the keyboard was covered with crumbs and the lid was covered in greasy finger prints. I understand that these are refurbished products but would have expected it to at least be wiped down prior to shipping. It’s like receiving a second hand item of clothing that had not been washed and had food dropped down it. I brought this to the attention of the seller but instead of receiving any sort of acknowledgment or apology I got a condescending response about how the products are second hand and I could send the laptop back for a refund or replacement. I have spent a lot of time getting the laptop set up now so it is not worth the hassle of returns. However, based on the rude response received, had I not done this set up, I would be returning. It does not fill me with any confidence of getting any issues sorted should they arise. Hopefully that won’t be a problem. I would not recommend this particular seller ‘Refreshed By Us’.

    Choosing y laptop was simple with the filters available on the search. Delivery was very quick, although DPD left it outside beside my bins in the rain. The actual setup of the laptop was as easy as any other these days. I'm not that happy to be forced in the first instance to do everything via the cloud now, but can make changes if I want. Would prefer not to have to though. Laptop itself is in extremely good condition (was classed as good) and very fast and therefore an ideal replacement for my ridiculously slow old one!
