In theory this should be a good monitor, but if you connect it to a modern windows PC over an HDMI cable, then you don't get full resolution. It appears that Dell have decided not to publish windows 11 drivers for that monitor, so full resolution is not available. The PC I was using also had a display port connector, so once I used that I got full resolution. To be clear, this is not a physical bandwidth limitation. I am currently using a more recent Dell monitor with that resolution on a Windows 11 laptop, and it works fine. This is poor after sales service from Dell. While I have not tested it, I strongly suspect that if I had connected the monitor to an Apple Mac, or Linux PC, it would have worked fine.
The other issue to be aware of, is just how old this design is. Mine had a manufacturing date of Feb 2014 marked on it! On the plus side back then a 2560x1440 monitor would have been a really high end and expensive product, so much less corner cutting in the design and manufacturing, but on the down side, it is already 12 years old!
