Really straightforward to order, decent delivery time with the laptop wel packaged. The laptop itself looks pristine - pretty much as new! So far everything has been working well so really pleased with the purchase.

Only used for a couple of days, System exceeded expectation, as sweet as New, They wrote Touch Screen “No” on arrival Touchscreen was a “Yes”, Face ID, extremely Flat device, Fingerprint sensor, Type C. Will definitely be relevant in 2030. It only arrived 2 days from the specified day of delivery which wasn’t a big issue, good packaging. Seller did a great job!

Working perfectly

I purchased the ThinkPad T490s. It is in excellent condition like stated. Everything works well, touchscreen etc. Well worth it.

I have had device for only a few weeks .. So far it works well.. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is down to one 'annoying' problem... When I have to press the @ key-cap I get " (i.e the inverted comma sign).. As you know we all use the @ sign quite a lot so, as I said its annoying that on the laptop you sent - it doesn;t work).. Didn't take me long to realise for me to get an @ sign I have to press SHIFT 2.. the usual place for " - inverted coma sign.. NOT the end of the world but a bit of a drag !!

I wasn't going to leave a review yet, until BackMarket addressed a issue I had with the laptop. However, the issue wasn't covered by any of the options in the help centre, so this seems to be the only place to ask about it. When I received the item, it looked in good condition and all seemed ok, but after connecting to the office router and opening Chrome it was immediately obvious that whatever search term I entered, the URL that came up was www.salsapest.org, a known malware site, which immediately opened a page to another suspicious URL. Several attempts uisng different search terms gave the same result, with salsapest.org coming up immediately, then switching to various suspicious sites. I also tried with other browsers, firefox, microsoft etc with the same result. At that point, having not clicked on any of the browser pages that came up in the searches, I had the company who provide us with computer support, check the laptop and install a copy of ESET. We use ESET for all our networked computers. This ran several scans but found nothing. However, the problem hadn't been cured, and searches still resulted in salsapest.org coming up. Not being willing to risk using the laptop, which we needed urgently for the following day, I had the computer support people clean the computer, and reload Windows, there being no time to return the laptop and get a replacement. There was a lot of data and folders relating to a previous owner that should not have been on there. I'm disappointed that the supply company (Computercare Assets Management Limited) who sold and supplied the product, hadn't complied with Back Market's guarantee that... 'Every item sold on Back Market is cleaned and tested by professional refurbishers. All devices are put back on factory reset and wiped clean, erasing previous personal data to give you a brand-new user experience......' The computer support obviously will be a cost. I'm happy to provide testimony from them of what I'm reporting, and supply their invoice, which I would expect a reputable company to honour. Until the issue is resolved satisfactoriy, I certainly wouldn't recommend Back Market to any of my business colleagues or anyone else.

The four stars are for the delivery which was late in coming. The laptop itself though is fantastic, the condition is like new, and the windows upgrade was very easy with the supplied instructions. The @ and " keys are transposed but not too big an issue. Overall a very happy customer.

I had a query regarding storage and BackMarket came back to me super quick with a solution - great service. Computer is perfect, as described.

Everything works perfectly, hardly a scratch on the device like new ! Battery isn’t as good as a new one; to be expected from a used device but it’s still good :)

The laptop was in perfect condition, couldn’t tell it had been refurbished. Works like brand new, this is the third product we have bought and will definitely be buying from backmarket in the future.
