The chassis was immaculate, the display looked flawless, the keyboard and trackpad felt brand new, and every port worked perfectly. The battery was another pleasant surprise. It arrived with 83% battery health and only 295 charge cycles, which I think is perfectly reasonable for a refurbished machine of this age. macOS reports the battery condition as Normal, and in everyday use it has easily lasted through my work sessions. Before committing to using it as my daily work machine, I thoroughly tested everything: ✅ Display ✅ Keyboard ✅ Speakers ✅ Webcam ✅ Touch Bar ✅ All USB-C ports ✅ Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Everything worked exactly as it should. Performance has been outstanding. I use this MacBook for remote meetings, productivity, writing, Obsidian, VS Code, light development work, and creative applications like Affinity Designer and DaVinci Resolve, and it handles everything effortlessly. Coming from a failing 2016 Intel MacBook Pro, the difference is honestly night and day. The M1 chip still feels incredibly fast, and paired with 16GB of RAM, I never feel constrained even when multitasking across multiple applications. Looking back, choosing a refurbished Mac instead of repairing my old machine was absolutely the right decision. Repairing my previous MacBook would have cost almost as much as buying this one, yet I would still have been using a much older Intel laptop. Instead, I now have a machine that feels modern, fast, reliable, and should comfortably serve me for years. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with both the laptop and the entire purchasing experience. After initially ordering the exact same laptop from a third party seller on Amazon and having to return it because the camera wasn’t working, I decided to do a deeper dive into the refurbished electronics market. From all the research I did, it became clear that rather than buying refurbished devices from random third party Amazon sellers, Back Market seemed to have far better checks and systems in place specifically for refurbished products. I placed an order and it arrived on time. I’ve been using the laptop for a few days now and so far I haven’t found any issues. The only downside was the battery health sitting at 80%, but I suppose that comes with choosing a device rated as “Good”. Hopefully this one serves me as well as my previous 2016 MacBook Pro, which I bought used in 2019 and only just replaced in 2026. That laptop still works perfectly fine. I never had to replace or repair anything on it. The only real issue was that the processor had started struggling with the heavy creative apps I regularly use, and the fan would scream anytime I pushed it too hard. I’ll probably pass it on to my nephew. I’m hoping this new one gives me at least another five years without problems. The M1 chip is genuinely a huge upgrade. I honestly feel like I’ve been living under a rock. The seamless connection with my iPhone 15 Pro is incredible.

It’s reassuring to know that someone has gone through the device and made sure everything is working as it should. Delivery was incredibly quick as well, which was a nice bonus. The biggest surprise for me was the battery health. The listing said it was suitable for everyday use, but I was still curious to see what the actual battery condition would be. When I turned it on and saw 97% battery health, I was genuinely delighted! Overall, the MacBook looks fantastic and works perfectly. I originally wanted to order one in “Excellent” condition, but they had sold out, so I went with “Good” instead — and honestly, I’m so glad I did. Massive thanks to Back Market for the great MacBook and, even more importantly, for properly testing and checking it before sending it out. I’ll definitely consider buying refurbished again!

Ordered yesterday and got it today by the next morning! I was a bit skeptical as i’de never bought refurbished tech but it comes amazing and perfectly securely packaged, including a charger. The battery efficiency is 97% which is practically nearly brand new so thats perfect and there’s absolutely no scratches. Gonna insert what storage says as its 16gb but im unsure about what this means for the ssd as i got the 512GB ssd one. Time will tell for how long it lasts but seems absolutely perfect!

I remember reading other reviews about refurbished macs last week and thinking these were lies and exaggerated. I got the final push from my brother and ordered it on the 12th of December at 12:53am . It was scheduled to come between the 16th - 17th. On the 13th of December by a phone call, to the DPD driver downstairs with my Macbook Pro. GUYS I PROMISE THIS IS NOT SPONSORED, I was impressed with everything, I had doubts that it was too good to be true but so far everything is perfect, the battery health is 98%. My wife was even more skeptical, but now she's looking at her HP probook differently. Honestly, I am never buying a new macbook or iPad Pro again if this is the quality to expect with excellent grade refurbs. The charger provider is a 100W USB-C replacement charger. I am having to restrain myself from buying the iPad Pro M4 2024 now. I am a graphic designer in training so I am so happy with the fact that I can afford these devices I need much easier.

This is my first refurbished purchase and I can happily say I have 0 regrets. What is considered “fair” condition is leaps and bounds beyond what I expected. I did read reviews by condition ahead of purchase which gave me the confidence- the laptop is almost mint condition. No significant signs of wear; the shell has 1 tiny little dent which is not noticeable even with regular use. Screen is immaculate. Keyboard and pad too. Laptop is running super smooth, big upgrade for me with a not so huge price tag. Cannot fault it. The amount of bang for buck is insane. Highly recommend BackMarket. Will be using to get a new phone next month!!

I'm not one for writing reviews normally but I felt I needed to for my MacBook Pro. Condition was listed as 'fair' but I am yet to find any marks on it. It's fully functioning, works perfectly and I am extremely happy with it. I hadn't purchased from Back Market before but based on this experience I certainly will be again in the future.
