Fairphone 4 128GB - Grey - Unlocked

I ordered a Fairphone 4 at the end of September 2024. It arrived very quickly and I started to configure it. After a number of difficulties (in my opinion due to Google explaining the configuration help incorrectly, but just in case, I'll mention it here), I was finally able to import my data from my old phone using my Google account. I then inserted my SIM card, and there was a problem: SMS and mobile data were working (a bit too well even for the latter lol, it's a shame you can't cut off mobile data in the same place as WiFi, light, location... but you have to go into the settings and disable their use) but not calls, whereas on my old phone everything was working normally. So I end up with a phone that can't make calls... I sent the parcel back to the reconditioner Bafodu and a week later I found out that the phone was irreparable and irreplaceable, so I got my money back. I wondered whether it had really been reconditioned the first time, given that the function that was having problems could hardly have been more basic, but then again, maybe it was just human error, as can happen. I went to the Back Market site and saw exactly the same phone for sale, but at €30 more... I wou...

The item corresponds to the advert and to what I am looking for. However, it said that the charger cable was supplied and this was not the case. The supplier said that they would only send a cable if we needed one. I think this is a very good approach and I didn't need it, so no problem, but this information should probably be displayed when ordering on Back Market.

The item is in order. However, I had a problem with the SIM card slot and wasn't sure whether it was my SIM card or the connector. I replaced my SIM with an eSIM and it works just as well.

The product is great, the delivery was also fast thanks to the surcharge, BUT it came with a cable and this USB cable is only for charging! I only came up with the idea after many hours of unsuccessful attempts to connect it to the PC. I was then able to connect the device immediately with another USB cable. Something like this is simply unnecessary and annoying in this case it would have been better: 1. TO WRITE SOMETHING LIKE THIS ON THE CABLE AND IT WOULD HAVE BEEN THICK AND BOLD or not to include a cable at all.

Very bad experience. 1-There are no actual photos of the product, only the photos on the Fairphone website, so you'd think you'd receive an almost new product, but mine had a lot of signs of wear and tear (very damaged corners which suggest that the phone has often been dropped). 2-Some parts of the screen don't react when touched, or you have to press very hard. Given the state of the screen (without any scratches, I must admit), I imagine it's been changed, but it still doesn't work. 3-From the start, I had problems with the main microphone: the people I called couldn't hear me, and after a while the microphone didn't work at all. This seems to be a recurring problem with the Fairphone 4, and I wish I'd been aware that the phone was failing. 4-Finally, my disappointment comes mainly from the fact that it was far too expensive (€479) compared to the wear and tear and the microphone problems encountered from the start (which I imagine the previous owner knew about). I can find new Fairphone 4s cheaper than this one, I wanted to buy refurbished to do the right thing, and well, I'm the fool... Last time on backmarket, absolutely avoid (and maybe also avoid this retailer).

Service, delivery and condition are wonderful. The Fairphone only has small blemishes/use marks or dots on the outer casing. Since my device gets a cover anyway, none of this is visible :-)
