    The heater arrived in a damaged box, which but for wide cellotape across the bottom, the heater would have fallen out of the box. The cardboard of the base was delaminated and returned to layers of paper - no strength. It turned out that box had, at some stage in the past but now dry, stood in water which had entered the box. this had in turn wet the base of the heater. The protective plastic bag, the open end at the bottom, had held some water and allowed the base assembly screws and a some of the metal casing to corrode. It was also very obvious the heater had not been tested for functionality as the surrounding protective plastic bag was still undisturbed and stuck to the rusted base of the heater. Just to add insult to injury the instruction booklet, but still legible, had been soaked as well. Luckily the heater works but will be run for the next few days to see if it will function long term.
