The condition of the toaster was described as excellent and it was indeed indistinguishable from new. Only the packaging was not so nice and suggested that the appliance had been unpacked before. As the packaging is usually disposed of promptly anyway, this should only bother those for whom the appliance is intended as a gift. For my part, however, I will check what the market has to offer in terms of refurbed devices before making any future purchases...
