Samsung Galaxy S6 vs Samsung Galaxy S7 Comparison

Samsung Galaxy S6 vs S7: what's the difference?

Although these two Samsung Galaxy smartphones are similar, they are far from identical.

Samsung S6: great sound and a good screen

If you use your phone to listen to music and watch videos, it's good to know that the S6's speaker offers very clear audio quality. The Samsung S6 is also cheaper than the S7, so if you want to save some quid, this is the one to choose.

Samsung S7: excellent battery life

Both smartphones have a 5.1-inch, 2560 x 1440 pixel screen, but the S7 has a sharper and brighter display. It also supports always-on display, so you can keep your favourite functions on the front screen, such as the date, time or your most-used apps, without it using up tons of battery life.

Even if you think you'll never need it, the S7 shouldn't suffer any damage if accidentally submerged in water for an hour. Handy to know if you drop your phone in the pool while on holiday!

The performance of the S7 is better than the S6, as it has more RAM and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. Battery life is also better, as it lasts a full day of use compared to about 8 hours for the S6.

The Samsung S7 also has a microSD slot, which the S6 doesn't, so you can add storage if you need it. However, be wary of the original storage, as in some regions only S7s with 32GB are available, which gets used up rather quickly these days.

If you're not a heavy smartphone user and only use your phone for making calls, reading emails and browsing, we suggest you invest in the S6. You'll save money, get a fair camera and better sound quality.

From phones to fridges, you can’t choose wrong.
