Unfortunately, I was unlucky with my first purchase on Back Market. I chose a phone listed as being in excellent condition, but it arrived with several paint scratches, which made it seem more like good condition at best. I even had to use a black permanent marker to patch it up a bit, as the little dot marks were clearly visible to the naked eye.
Then there’s the price. I paid £319 (plus, a first-time buyer promo code), but just two days later, the same phone in the same condition was listed for £289. So yeah, that did make me feel a bit like a mug now.
Positives - I guess the whole transaction process was smooth and hassle-free, and the phone arrived the next day.
Sadly, I won’t be returning the phone, as I’m in desperate need of a replacement. But if you’re thinking about buying from Back Market too, I’d recommend going for fair or good condition and saving yourself a bit of money. Some reviews mention that they chose fair and received phones without any scratches.
